Parc National de Dakhla

Parc National de Dakhla is part of the Tentative list of Morocco in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Dakhla National Park in the Western Sahara lies in an arid area. It has some of the most important wintering grounds for birds especially for waders. Its coast is also known for its population of endangered monk seals. The sea waters are very rich in sea life due to the highly productive Current System of Canary flowing offshore and the renown Nouadhibou upwelling nearby.
